Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Gert Lush Games ("we", "our", or "us") covering your use of the Geo Battles mobile application and this website (together, the "Game"). By downloading or playing the Game you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.

1. Who can play

Geo Battles is intended for a general audience. If you are under 18, or under the age at which you can legally agree to these Terms where you live, you may only use the Game with the permission of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your account

• You can play as a guest, or sign in with Apple or Google. A guest account is tied to your device: if you delete the app or change device without linking a sign-in, your progress may be lost and we may not be able to recover it.
• You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your device and sign-in secure.
• One person, one account. Do not create accounts in bulk, by automated means, or to gain an unfair advantage.
• You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab. See Delete Your Account.

3. Usernames

Your username is shown to other players, so it must be suitable for everyone. Your username must not:

• contain profanity, slurs, or sexual, hateful, violent, or otherwise offensive language, including deliberate misspellings, abbreviations, or other attempts to get around our filters;
• harass, threaten, or target any person or group;
• impersonate another person, a brand, or Gert Lush Games or its staff;
• contain personal information such as a real full name, phone number, or address;
• promote or advertise products, services, or illegal activity.

We reserve the right to change, remove, or reclaim any username at any time, for any reason, at our sole discretion and without prior notice. This includes usernames that we consider inappropriate even where they were accepted by our automated checks.

If we remove your username, we may replace it with a randomly generated one and require you to choose a new username before you can continue playing. Your rating, streaks, and match history are not affected by this. You may not choose the removed username again. Repeatedly choosing unsuitable usernames may lead to suspension or termination of your account under section 8.

4. Fair play

Geo Battles is a competitive game, and it only works if everyone plays fairly. You agree not to:

• cheat, or use bots, scripts, modified versions of the app, or any other automation or third-party tool to play or to gain an advantage;
• manipulate ratings, streaks, leaderboards, or match results, including by arranging results or playing against your own accounts;
• exploit bugs or glitches instead of reporting them to us;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Game or its servers, or access our systems other than through the app, except where the law allows this despite these Terms;
• interfere with or disrupt the Game, its servers, or other players' enjoyment of it;
• use the Game for anything unlawful.

Some opponents in the Game may be computer-controlled.

5. Ratings, streaks, and other in-game items

Ratings, wins, streaks, streak freezes, and any other in-game items or statistics have no monetary value and cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged for anything outside the Game. We may adjust, reset, or remove them where we need to, for example to correct an error, balance the Game, or respond to a breach of these Terms.

6. Advertising

The Game is free to play and is supported by advertising, including optional adverts you can choose to watch in return for an in-game benefit. Adverts are provided by third parties and we are not responsible for their content or for any product or service they promote. How advertising partners use data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

7. Our content

The Game, including its name, design, artwork, sounds, questions, and code, belongs to Gert Lush Games or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play the Game for your own non-commercial entertainment. You may share screenshots and results from the Game for personal, non-commercial purposes. All other rights are reserved.

We aim for the geographical information in the Game to be accurate, but it is provided for entertainment and we do not guarantee it is complete, current, or free from error. How places, borders, and flags are shown in the Game does not represent any political position.

8. Suspension and termination

We may place restrictions on, suspend, or permanently close your account if we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms, or if we need to in order to protect other players or the Game. Where it is practical and proportionate, we will first give you the chance to put things right, for example by choosing a new username.

You can stop using the Game and delete your account at any time.

9. Changes to the Game

We may update, change, or withdraw the Game or any feature of it at any time, and we may require you to update the app to keep playing. We do not promise that the Game will always be available or that it will be free of interruptions or errors.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The Game is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties that are not expressly set out in these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of progress or data, for losses that were not foreseeable, for losses not caused by our breach of these Terms, or for any business losses. The Game is for private, non-commercial use only.

11. App stores

If you downloaded the Game from the Apple App Store or Google Play, your use is also subject to that store's terms. These Terms are between you and Gert Lush Games only, not Apple or Google, and neither is responsible for the Game or its content.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. If you keep playing after the Terms change, you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections under the law of the country where you live, and you may be able to bring a claim in your local courts.
